• gravy — the fat and juices that drip from cooking meat, often thickened, seasoned, flavored, etc., and used as a sauce for meat, potatoes, rice, etc.
• seasoning — one of the four periods of the year (spring, summer, autumn, and winter), beginning astronomically at an equinox or solstice, but geographically at different dates in different climates.

• dressing — an outer garment for women and girls, consisting of bodice and skirt in one piece.
• sauce — any preparation, usually liquid or semiliquid, eaten as a gravy or as a relish accompanying food.
