dribble — to fall or flow in drops or small quantities; trickle.
spray — a single, slender shoot, twig, or branch with its leaves, flowers, or berries.
sprinkle — to scatter (a liquid, powder, etc.) in drops or particles: She sprinkled powder on the baby.
drip — to let drops fall; shed drops: This faucet drips.
drop — a small quantity of liquid that falls or is produced in a more or less spherical mass; a liquid globule.
mist — a cloudlike aggregation of minute globules of water suspended in the atmosphere at or near the earth's surface, reducing visibility to a lesser degree than fog.
haze — vagueness or obscurity, as of the mind or perception; confused or vague thoughts, feelings, etc.: The victims were still in a haze and couldn't describe the accident.
murk — darkness; gloom: the murk of a foggy night.
obscure — (of meaning) not clear or plain; ambiguous, vague, or uncertain: an obscure sentence in the contract.
overcast — overspread or covered with clouds; cloudy: an overcast day.
overcloud — to overspread with or as if with clouds: a summer storm that briefly overclouds the sun; to overcloud one's pleasure with solemn thoughts.
rain — water that is condensed from the aqueous vapor in the atmosphere and falls to earth in drops more than 1/50 inch (0.5 mm) in diameter. Compare drizzle (def 6).
steam — water in the form of an invisible gas or vapor.
