- feisty — full of animation, energy, or courage; spirited; spunky; plucky: The champion is faced with a feisty challenger.
- gutsy — having a great deal of courage or nerve: a gutsy lampooner of the administration.

- injured — to do or cause harm of any kind to; damage; hurt; impair: to injure one's hand.
