warm β having or giving out a moderate degree of heat, as perceived by the senses: a warm bath.
bask β If you bask in the sunshine, you lie somewhere sunny and enjoy the heat.
blaze β When a fire blazes, it burns strongly and brightly.
chafe β If your skin chafes or is chafed by something, it becomes sore as a result of something rubbing against it.
char β If food chars or if you char it, it burns slightly and turns black as it is cooking.
singe β to burn superficially or slightly; scorch.
smelt β to perceive the odor or scent of through the nose by means of the olfactory nerves; inhale the odor of: I smell something burning.
