  • correlate — If one thing correlates with another, there is a close similarity or connection between them, often because one thing causes the other. You can also say that two things correlate.
  • ascribe — If you ascribe an event or condition to a particular cause, you say or consider that it was caused by that thing.
  • affect — If something affects a person or thing, it influences them or causes them to change in some way.
  • apply — If you apply for something such as a job or membership of an organization, you write a letter or fill in a form in order to ask formally for it.
  • concern — Concern is worry about a situation.
  • assign — If you assign a piece of work to someone, you give them the work to do.
  • refer — to direct for information or anything required: He referred me to books on astrology.
  • annex — If a country annexes another country or an area of land, it seizes it and takes control of it.
  • compare — When you compare things, you consider them and discover the differences or similarities between them.
  • associate — If you associate someone or something with another thing, the two are connected in your mind.
  • pertain — to have reference or relation; relate: documents pertaining to the lawsuit.
  • coordinate — If you coordinate an activity, you organize the various people and things involved in it.
  • yoke — a device for joining together a pair of draft animals, especially oxen, usually consisting of a crosspiece with two bow-shaped pieces, each enclosing the head of an animal. Compare harness (def 1).
  • conjoin — If two or more things conjoin or if you conjoin them, they are united and joined together.
  • credit — If you are allowed credit, you are allowed to pay for goods or services several weeks or months after you have received them.
  • bracket — If you say that someone or something is in a particular bracket, you mean that they come within a particular range, for example a range of incomes, ages, or prices.
  • impute — to attribute or ascribe: The children imputed magical powers to the old woman.

  • depend — If you say that one thing depends on another, you mean that the first thing will be affected or determined by the second.
  • affix — If you affix one thing to another, you stick it or attach it to the other thing.
  • join — to bring in contact, connect, or bring or put together: to join hands; to join pages with a staple.
  • couple — If you refer to a couple of people or things, you mean two or approximately two of them, although the exact number is not important or you are not sure of it.
  • unite — to join, combine, or incorporate so as to form a single whole or unit.
  • add — ADD is an abbreviation for attention deficit disorder.
  • link — a torch, especially of tow and pitch.
  • connect — If something or someone connects one thing to another, or if one thing connects to another, the two things are joined together.
  • combine — If you combine two or more things or if they combine, they exist together.
  • append — When you append something to something else, especially a piece of writing, you attach it or add it to the end of it.
  • have to do with — Usually, haves. an individual or group that has wealth, social position, or other material benefits (contrasted with have-not).
  • intersect — to cut or divide by passing through or across: The highway intersects the town.
  • interlock — to fit into each other, as parts of machinery, so that all action is synchronized.
  • communicate — to impart (knowledge) or exchange (thoughts, feelings, or ideas) by speech, writing, gestures, etc
  • attach — If you attach something to an object, you join it or fasten it to the object.
