rate — the amount of a charge or payment with reference to some basis of calculation: a high rate of interest on loans.
reason — a basis or cause, as for some belief, action, fact, event, etc.: the reason for declaring war.
regard — to look upon or think of with a particular feeling: to regard a person with favor.
scheme — a plan, design, or program of action to be followed; project.
sum — the aggregate of two or more numbers, magnitudes, quantities, or particulars as determined by or as if by the mathematical process of addition: The sum of 6 and 8 is 14.
suppose — to assume (something), as for the sake of argument or as part of a proposition or theory: Suppose the distance to be one mile.
suspect — to believe to be guilty, false, counterfeit, undesirable, defective, bad, etc., with little or no proof: to suspect a person of murder.
tax — a tax levied according to the value of the property, merchandise, etc., being taxed.
think — to seem or appear (usually used impersonally with a dative as the subject).
look into — to turn one's eyes toward something or in some direction in order to see: He looked toward the western horizon and saw the returning planes.
run over — to go quickly by moving the legs more rapidly than at a walk and in such a manner that for an instant in each step all or both feet are off the ground.
size up — the spatial dimensions, proportions, magnitude, or bulk of anything: the size of a farm; the size of the fish you caught.
think through — to have a conscious mind, to some extent of reasoning, remembering experiences, making rational decisions, etc.
