symbol β something used for or regarded as representing something else; a material object representing something, often something immaterial; emblem, token, or sign.
logo β Also called logotype. a graphic representation or symbol of a company name, trademark, abbreviation, etc., often uniquely designed for ready recognition.
crest β The crest of a hill or a wave is the top of it.
badge β A badge is a piece of metal or cloth which you wear to show that you belong to an organization or support a cause. American English usually uses button to refer to a small round metal badge.

motto β a maxim adopted as an expression of the guiding principle of a person, organization, city, etc.
reminder β a person or thing that serves to remind.
trademark β any name, symbol, figure, letter, word, or mark adopted and used by a manufacturer or merchant in order to designate specific goods and to distinguish them from those manufactured or sold by others. A trademark is proprietary and is usually registered with the Patent and Trademark Office to assure its exclusive use by its owner or licensee.
adumbration β to produce a faint image or resemblance of; to outline or sketch.
colors β the quality of an object or substance with respect to light reflected by the object, usually determined visually by measurement of hue, saturation, and brightness of the reflected light; saturation or chroma; hue.
design β When someone designs a garment, building, machine, or other object, they plan it and make a detailed drawing of it from which it can be built or made.
figure β a numerical symbol, especially an Arabic numeral.
hallmark β an official mark or stamp indicating a standard of purity, used in marking gold and silver articles assayed by the Goldsmiths' Company of London; plate mark.
identification β an act or instance of identifying; the state of being identified.
impress β to press or force into public service, as sailors.

miniature β a representation or image of something on a small or reduced scale.
monogram β a design consisting of two or more alphabetic letters combined or interlaced, commonly one's initials, often printed on stationery, embroidered on clothing, etc.
pennant β a long, tapering flag or burgee of distinctive form and special significance, borne on naval or other vessels and used in signaling or for identification.
scepter β a rod or wand borne in the hand as an emblem of regal or imperial power.
seal β a member of the U.S. Navyβs special operations forces.
standard β something considered by an authority or by general consent as a basis of comparison; an approved model.
token β something serving to represent or indicate some fact, event, feeling, etc.; sign: Black is a token of mourning.
type β a number of things or persons sharing a particular characteristic, or set of characteristics, that causes them to be regarded as a group, more or less precisely defined or designated; class; category: a criminal of the most vicious type.
