- rash — acting or tending to act too hastily or without due consideration.
- eczema — an inflammatory condition of the skin attended with itching and the exudation of serous matter.
- psoriasis — a common chronic, inflammatory skin disease characterized by scaly patches.
- scales — a succession or progression of steps or degrees; graduated series: the scale of taxation; the social scale.
- scab — the incrustation that forms over a sore or wound during healing.
- scabies — a contagious skin disease occurring especially in sheep and cattle and also in humans, caused by the itch mite, Sarcoptes scabiei, which burrows under the skin. Compare itch (def 10), mange.
