- default — If a person, company, or country defaults on something that they have legally agreed to do, such as paying some money or doing a piece of work before a particular time, they fail to do it.
- misbehavior — improper, inappropriate, or bad behavior.
- fault — a defect or imperfection; flaw; failing: a fault in the brakes; a fault in one's character.
- lapse — an accidental or temporary decline or deviation from an expected or accepted condition or state; a temporary falling or slipping from a previous standard: a lapse of justice.
- misdemeanor — Law. a criminal offense defined as less serious than a felony.
