- questioned — a sentence in an interrogative form, addressed to someone in order to get information in reply.
- interrogated — to ask questions of (a person), sometimes to seek answers or information that the person questioned considers personal or secret.
- quizzed — an informal test or examination of a student or class.
- probed — to search into or examine thoroughly; question closely: to probe one's conscience.
- grilled — a grating or openwork barrier, as for a gate, usually of metal and often of decorative design.

- suppressed — to put an end to the activities of (a person, body of persons, etc.): to suppress the Communist and certain left-leaning parties.
