understandings — mental process of a person who comprehends; comprehension; personal interpretation: My understanding of the word does not agree with yours.

fancies — imagination or fantasy, especially as exercised in a capricious manner.

beliefs — something believed; an opinion or conviction: a belief that the earth is flat.
