payment — something that is paid; an amount paid; compensation; recompense.
salary — a fixed compensation periodically paid to a person for regular work or services.
wage — Often, wages. money that is paid or received for work or services, as by the hour, day, or week. Compare living wage, minimum wage.
fee — a charge or payment for professional services: a doctor's fee.
perk — to become lively, cheerful, or vigorous, as after depression or sickness (usually followed by up): The patients all perked up when we played the piano for them.

commission — If you commission something or commission someone to do something, you formally arrange for someone to do a piece of work for you.
recompense — to repay; remunerate; reward, as for service, aid, etc.
payback — the period of time required to recoup a capital investment.
reward — a sum of money offered for the detection or capture of a criminal, the recovery of lost or stolen property, etc.
perquisite — an incidental payment, benefit, privilege, or advantage over and above regular income, salary, or wages: Among the president's perquisites were free use of a company car and paid membership in a country club.
