sample — a small part of anything or one of a number, intended to show the quality, style, or nature of the whole; specimen.
introduction — the act of introducing or the state of being introduced.
sneak preview — a preview of a motion picture, often shown in addition to an announced film, in order to observe the reaction of the audience.
taste — to try or test the flavor or quality of (something) by taking some into the mouth: to taste food.
foretaste — a slight and partial experience, knowledge, or taste of something to come in the future; anticipation.
taster — a person who tastes, especially one skilled in distinguishing the qualities of liquors, tea, etc., by the taste.
cocktail — A cocktail is an alcoholic drink which contains several ingredients.
antipasto — Antipasto is the sort of food that is often served at the beginning of an Italian meal, for example cold meats and vegetables in olive oil.
aperitif — An aperitif is an alcoholic drink that you have before a meal.
dip — to plunge (something, as a cloth or sponge) temporarily into a liquid, so as to moisten it, dye it, or cause it to take up some of the liquid: He dipped the brush into the paint bucket.
relish — liking or enjoyment of the taste of something.
spread — to draw, stretch, or open out, especially over a flat surface, as something rolled or folded (often followed by out).
canape — Canapés are small pieces of biscuit or toast with food such as meat, cheese, or pâté on top. They are often served with drinks at parties.
finger food — food intended to be picked up with the fingers and eaten.
hors d'oeuvre — a small bit of appetizing food, as spicy meat, fish, cheese, or a preparation of chopped or creamed foods, often served on crackers or small pieces of toast, for eating at cocktail parties or other gatherings where drinks are served with no other food.
munchies — crunchy or chewy. Informal. for snacking: munchy foods like popcorn and cookies.
