Two-syllable rhymes

  • denying — to state that (something declared or believed to be true) is not true: to deny an accusation.
  • hurrying — to move, proceed, or act with haste (often followed by up): Hurry, or we'll be late. Hurry up, it's starting to rain.
  • jockeying — a person who rides horses professionally in races.
  • lobbying — an entrance hall, corridor, or vestibule, as in a public building, often serving as an anteroom; foyer.
  • mimicking — to imitate or copy in action, speech, etc., often playfully or derisively.
  • partying — a social gathering, as of invited guests at a private home, for conversation, refreshments, entertainment, etc.: a cocktail party.
  • studying — application of the mind to the acquisition of knowledge, as by reading, investigation, or reflection: long hours of study.

Four-or-more syllable rhymes

  • copycatting — a person or thing that copies, imitates, mimics, or follows the lead of another, as a child who says or does exactly the same as another child.
