joined — to bring in contact, connect, or bring or put together: to join hands; to join pages with a staple.
married — united in wedlock; wedded: married couples.
mended — to make (something broken, worn, torn, or otherwise damaged) whole, sound, or usable by repairing: to mend old clothes; to mend a broken toy.
pushed — to press upon or against (a thing) with force in order to move it away.
sewed — to ground (a vessel) at low tide (sometimes fol by up).
united — made into or caused to act as a single entity: a united front.
inserted — Botany. (especially of the parts of a flower) attached to or growing out of some part.
idled — not working or active; unemployed; doing nothing: idle workers.
waited — to remain inactive or in a state of repose, as until something expected happens (often followed by for, till, or until): to wait for the bus to arrive.
