compliment — A compliment is a polite remark that you say to someone to show that you like their appearance, appreciate their qualities, or approve of what they have done.
praise — the act of expressing approval or admiration; commendation; laudation.
aid — Aid is money, equipment, or services that are provided for people, countries, or organizations who need them but cannot provide them for themselves.
assist — If you assist someone, you help them to do a job or task by doing part of the work for them.
guard — to keep safe from harm or danger; protect; watch over: to guard the ruler.
help — to give or provide what is necessary to accomplish a task or satisfy a need; contribute strength or means to; render assistance to; cooperate effectively with; aid; assist: He planned to help me with my work. Let me help you with those packages.
lose — to come to be without (something in one's possession or care), through accident, theft, etc., so that there is little or no prospect of recovery: I'm sure I've merely misplaced my hat, not lost it.
protect — to defend or guard from attack, invasion, loss, annoyance, insult, etc.; cover or shield from injury or danger.
surrender — to yield (something) to the possession or power of another; deliver up possession of on demand or under duress: to surrender the fort to the enemy; to surrender the stolen goods to the police.
cheer — When people cheer, they shout loudly to show their approval or to encourage someone who is doing something such as taking part in a game.
comfort — If you are doing something in comfort, you are physically relaxed and contented, and are not feeling any pain or other unpleasant sensations.
encourage — Give support, confidence, or hope to (someone).
forgive — to grant pardon for or remission of (an offense, debt, etc.); absolve.
inspirit — to infuse spirit or life into; enliven.
promote — to help or encourage to exist or flourish; further: to promote world peace.
fail — to fall short of success or achievement in something expected, attempted, desired, or approved: The experiment failed because of poor planning.
