deficiencies — the state of being deficient; lack; incompleteness; insufficiency.
lapses — an accidental or temporary decline or deviation from an expected or accepted condition or state; a temporary falling or slipping from a previous standard: a lapse of justice.
defects — a shortcoming, fault, or imperfection: a defect in an argument; a defect in a machine.
vices — any of various devices, usually having two jaws that may be brought together or separated by means of a screw, lever, or the like, used to hold an object firmly while work is being done on it.
